Beetroot and potato are among those few food items that cannot be fed directly to a toddler. However, owing to the nutritional goodness that they contain, it becomes important to include these in diet. One of the best ways to get around this is to make a beetroot and potato puree. Not only does the colour and texture of this dish appear alluring, it acts as a great dip for the kids. What’s more? Even the elders can have a go at this yummy dip, along with pita bread or carrots. You can even freeze this dip for future consumption, for up to six weeks. Take note that the baby’s poop can turn scarlet the next day, owing to the staying power of beetroot.
