Murmura ka Upma is a very popular easy breakfast recipe for your child. Murmur is a good source of protein, fiber and carbs.

2 cups puffed rice (kurmura), 1 medium onion chopped, 1 tomato cubes, 1 tbsp. Lemon juice, 1 tbsp. chopped coriander (dhania) leaves, salt to taste
Seasoning ingredients:
2 tbsp. crushed peanuts, 1 tbsp. roasted chana, 7-8 curry leaves (kadi patta), 2 green chillies slit, ¼ tsp. turmeric powder (haldi), ¼ tsp. red chilli powder, ½ tsp. mustard seeds (rai/sarson), ¼ tsp. cumin seeds (jeera), 2 tbsp oil
1. Heat a heavy bottomed pan with oil on medium flame. Add mustard seeds when the oil is hot and allow it to crackle.
2. Add cumin seeds, peanuts, roasted chana and saute for few minutes, add onions, saute until transparent, tomato cubes, green chillies, curry leaves with turmeric, little salt and cook until tomatoes are tender.
3. Stir in puffed rice, coriander leaves, and lemon juice, and stir everything together.
Serve to your child as a healthy breakfast or a teatime snack.
